Providing scholarships for rising juniors or seniors at Virginia Tech is one of the purposes of the Virginia Tech Women’s Club (VTWC). These scholarships are funded from donations given by members of the VTWC. Since the initiation of the VTWC scholarship program in 1973, scholarships have been awarded to 90 women for a total of $96.550.
THE EVERYONE COUNTS SCHOLARSHIP DRIVE continues throughout the year. The Ways and Means Committee will recognize four levels of giving based on "historical firsts" associated with women at Virginia Tech. The giving year runs from May 1st to April 30th. These four levels offer different amounts of giving:

1925 Graduates Society $200 and above The year women were admitted to Virginia Tech.
1921 Society $150 - $199 The year women were admitted to Virginia Tech.
The Turkey Hens Society $100 to $149 The first women's basketball team - intramural.
The Tin Horn Society $50 to $99 The women's yearbook. (Men had their own yearbook.)
The Hillcrest Society up to $49 Hillcrest Hall housed the first women on campus.

Gifts to the VTWC Scholarship and Endowment Fund are tax deductible. Make your check to the Community Foundation of the New River Valley. On the memo line, mark VTWC Scholarship. Mail the donation to:
